TPr Gs Mohd Bashir Sulaiman is a town planner by profession and serving as a Director of Planning and Development at the City Council of Penang Island. He holds a Master’s Degree in Project Management from Universiti Sains Malaysia and a Bachelor's Degree (Honors) in Urban and Regional Planning from the International Islamic University of Malaysia. With over a decade of experience in urban planning and project management, TPr Gs Mohd Bashir has led innovative initiatives focusing on smart city design, efficient traffic management, and sustainable urban development. In his previous role as Deputy Director at PLANMalaysia@PulauPinang, he provided crucial advice on land use policies and managed development plan implementations. His portfolio includes significant projects such as the St. Regis Hotel Langkawi, Langkawi International Convention Centre and the East Coast Rail Link, showcasing his expertise in coordinating large-scale developments. TPr Gs Mohd Bashir is also an active participant in various professional organizations and has held leadership roles in student councils during his academic years.
