Tay Kok Chin is the Chairman of Smart Cities Network, a network of innovative solution and services providers for smart cities and the Executive Director (ASEAN) for Smart Cities Council. Widely acknowledged as a thought leader for smart and sustainable cities and currently provides consultancy services at the city and national level and innovators. Visiting Professor for Smart City courses at the National University of Management (NUM) based in Phnom Penh and UN ESCAP Smart City Consultant to help develop the National Smart City Policy Guidelines for Cambodia. Involved with Smart Cities since 2011 as the IBM Leader for Smarter Planet and Smarter Buildings and project managed the Smarter Cities Challenge with the Singapore government in 2012.
