Mr. Muhammad Firdaus Ammar Bin Abdullah is the Director of Research and Technical Development at the Malaysian Meteorological Department. His expertise is mainly in multi-scale operational Numerical Weather Prediction. His main tasks include advanced research in the improved understanding and representation of weather and climate models of tropical weather systems especially over cities. He was the Meteorological Thematic Lead for the Disaster Resilient Cities Project for the City of Kuala Lumpur involving very high-resolution urban weather model up to 300 m resolution.
