Chuan Boon is the COO of Sidec, where he leads Selangor’s digital transformation and positions the state as a premier digital hub in ASEAN. Since Sidec’s transition into a government-linked company in 2021, he has been instrumental in driving strategic growth and interdepartmental coordination. Under his leadership, Sidec has launched impactful initiatives in digital talent development, startup acceleration, SME digitalisation, and tech investment attraction. Programmes such as the Selangor Accelerator Programme (SAP), E-Commerce Masterclasses, and Jelajah Usahawan Digital have nurtured over 300 startups and generated more than RM500 million in Gross Merchandise Value (GMV). He also oversees strategic projects like the Malaysia Semiconductor IC Design Park and international innovation partnerships.
