Dr Seow Vei Ken was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of Sunway Medical Centre, Sunway City (SMC) in July 2022. Prior to his appointment, he was the Medical Director of the hospital where he successfully steered Malaysia’s leading private quaternary hospital into a phase of growth. Under Dr Seow’s direction, SMC, the flagship hospital of Sunway Healthcare Group (SHG), has achieved a series of accolades and recognitions. Among them are from the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHS), Malaysian Society for Quality in Health (MSQH) and the win of Frost & Sullivan’s Malaysia Smart Hospital Company of the Year in 2021 and 2022. Dr Seow is a trained Specialist in Critical Care Medicine and Emergency Medicine from Taiwan.
