Dato' Rumaizi bin Baharin @ Md Daud was appointed the Mayor of Ipoh on April 1, 2020. He was born on April 17, 1975 in Ipoh, Perak. He started his career as an Assistant Secretary in the Ministry of Rural Development on April 1, 2000. However, he began his career in the state of Perak on April 15, 2003 as Assistant Director in the Office of Land and Mines and subsequently as Senior Secretary to the Perak Menteri Besar on November 16, 2009 and Secretary of the Perak State Assembly and MMK, Perak State Secretary of State Administration on February 1, 2010.
