Marjolein Brasz
Challenge Lead, Circular Economy Amsterdam Economic Board
Marjolein Brasz, with a business degree from the Erasmus University Rotterdam, started working in the energy business in 2001, initially in the traditional oil & gas industry and later with new insights gained along the way, in the field of sustainable energy. In 2016 she moved to the Amsterdam Economic Board, an independent institute focussing on the future of the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area, as Lead on the Circular Economy Transition Programme. Transitioning into a new circular economy requires strong cooperation between governments, knowledge institutes and business; new coalition should be formed, new business (models) developed and room for experimentation and failure allowed. The Amsterdam Economic Board works with active governments, business and knowledge institutes to facilitate this transition.
