Smart Cities Asia 2019 (SCA19) is committed to be the place to collectivize smart cites agenda, establish partnership, to optimize the potentialities of cities and cultivate a better knowledge sharing culture amongst the key players. This 2019 edition will explore and highlight the pioneering urban solutions that are defining and transforming cities around the world. Experts and professionals are gathered in this 2-days conference sharing on their insights, experience and real-life applications. Strategic issues will be discussed on Day 1 and Day 2 will zoom into 4 different industry verticals which are Governance & Planning, Smart Mobility & Connectivity, Urban Intelligence and Smart & Sustainable Development.

Smart City Framework for Implementation - Where Do We Start?
Smart Cities are hardly a new concept, rather they are a manifestation of both technological change and increasing digital solutions for everyday problems. Things are moving rapidly on this front – solutions are being delivered from every concept from parking solutions to waste collection, the crux of a great smart city will be the ability to integrate all these solutions seamlessly. Day-to-day urban problems remain challenging, more so in Malaysia, where most Malaysians continue to grapple with daily urban issues. There’s an opportunity to provide solutions that work, but this will require coordinated efforts; from drawing on a wellspring of ideas and solutions from the ground, to coordinated policy frameworks from the top to drive us in the right direction.
